What makes a word search large print?

Bigger letters, fewer of them, and more space around each one. These puzzles use a 12 × 12 grid across the full width of the page, so each letter sits in its own 0.625 in square and is printed at 27 pt bold — much larger than the letters in a typical newspaper puzzle. The word list underneath is around 14 pt bold.

• Capital letters in a plain sans-serif font, which are easier to tell apart than lowercase.
• Words run forwards and down only — no backwards or diagonal words to hunt for.

How do you print them at full size?

Open the PDF and print at actual size (100%) on US Letter paper. On A4 paper, choose Fit or Shrink to fit — the page scales down by a few percent and stays readable. Thicker paper (24 lb / 90 gsm) stops a pen showing through, and black-and-white printing is all you need.
