What does this maze generator make?
Complete maze pages and their solutions, laid out for a printed book or a printable set. You choose the style, size, difficulty and shape, and books can grow harder from the first maze to the last.
- Square-grid mazes and circular (ring) mazes
- 46 shapes: heart, star, circle and diamond, plus nature, food, holiday, vehicle and animal outlines
- Four sizes from small (13 × 13 cells) to extra large (31 × 31) and three difficulty levels
- Arrows or pictures at the start and finish, an optional instruction line, line weight and colours
- One, two or four mazes per page, with solutions one to nine per page
How do you know each maze has only one solution?
Every maze is generated as a "perfect" maze: each cell can be reached, and there is exactly one path between any two cells, so there is exactly one way from the entrance to the exit. This is checked by tests on the generator, not by eye.
What makes a maze easy or hard?
Size and path shape. Easy mazes have many short dead ends and a fairly direct solution; hard mazes have long corridors and a winding solution that doubles back. Larger grids add more turns at every level.
Can I sell mazes made with it?
Yes. Exports from the free tools carry a commercial licence: sell maze books on Amazon KDP, printable maze packs on Etsy, or use them in paid classes. You may not resell or share the generator itself.
