What does this kakuro generator make?
Complete kakuro pages and their solutions, laid out for a printed book. Books can grow harder from the first puzzle to the last.
- Four grid sizes: 6 × 6 (beginner), 8 × 8, 10 × 10 and 12 × 12
- Easy, medium and hard, graded by how much of the puzzle can be solved by sums alone
- A combination chart at the front listing the totals that can be made only one way
- One, two, four or six puzzles per page, with solutions at the back
How do you know each kakuro has only one solution?
After the grid is filled, a solver counts the solutions and the puzzle is adjusted until exactly one is left, then checked again with a larger search. A kakuro with two answers cannot be finished by logic.
How do you play kakuro?
Fill the white squares with the digits 1 to 9 so that each run adds up to the clue on its left or above it, with no digit repeated in a run. Start with totals that can be made only one way — two squares adding to 3 must be 1 and 2.
Can I sell kakuro books made with it?
Yes. Exports from the free tools carry a commercial licence for KDP, Etsy and your own shop. You may not resell or share the generator itself.
