How do you play bingo with these cards?
Give each player a different card and something to mark squares with. The caller reads the calls in any order and ticks each one on the caller sheet.
- Players mark a square when its word or number is called. The FREE square counts as already marked.
- The first player to complete a full row, column or diagonal calls "Bingo!"
- The caller checks the winning line against the ticks on the caller sheet.
- For a longer game, play for four corners, an X, or a full card.
How should you print bingo cards?
Print at actual size on US Letter, or choose Fit on A4. Card stock (65–110 lb) holds up to repeated games;
slip plain paper cards into sheet protectors and use dry-erase markers to play again and again. Coins, buttons, dried beans
or small sweets all work as markers.
Print the caller sheet once and cut the calls apart if you want to draw them from a bowl instead of ticking them off.
Why do word bingo sets need more than 24 words?
A 5 × 5 card with a FREE centre has 24 squares. With exactly 24 words every card would hold the same words, only in a
different order: in a full-card game every player would finish on the same call, and line games end in lots of ties.
Each set here uses 35 or more words, so cards share some calls but not all.
Can I make my own bingo cards?
Yes. These sets were made with the DT Labs bingo card generator. Use it to make
cards from your own word list — a baby shower, a classroom topic, a birthday — or picture bingo for children who are still
learning to read, at 3 × 3, 4 × 4 or 5 × 5, with one, two or four cards per page. Every card in a set is checked to be different,
and exports come with a commercial licence for selling bingo sets on Etsy or bingo books on KDP.
Frequently asked questions
Are these bingo cards free?
Yes. Download and print them for family gatherings, classrooms, office parties, clubs and care homes. No account and no email needed.
Are all the cards different?
Yes. Every set has 30 cards and the generator checks each one against the others, so no two cards in a set are the same.
How many cards do I need?
One per player, plus a few spares. Each set has 30 cards; print a set twice with a different set of markers if you have more than 30 players, or make a bigger set with the bingo card generator.
What size are the cards?
One large 5 × 5 card per US Letter page (8.5 × 11 in), with a FREE square in the centre. They also print on A4 with "Fit" selected.
What is the caller sheet?
The first page of each PDF lists every word or number in the set with a circle to tick as you call it, so you can check a winning card.
Can I sell these bingo cards?
No — these PDFs are for printing and playing, not for resale. To sell bingo cards on Etsy or KDP, make your own with the free bingo card generator, which comes with a commercial licence.
