How to Sell Baby Shower Games on Etsy: What Buyers Expect in a Set
What a baby shower game set needs to sell on Etsy: the games buyers expect, unique bingo cards, answer keys, paper sizes, photos and Etsy's design rule.

To sell baby shower games on Etsy, list them as a digital download: one PDF with a matching set of games, an answer key for every quiz, bingo cards that are all different, and two common paper sizes. Buyers are hosts planning a party in the next week or two, so the listing has to show, in the photos, exactly what they'll print. Since June 2025, Etsy also requires that a digital download is your own design — a resale pack that a hundred other shops bought doesn't count.
In short: pick one theme, put 8–15 popular games in one PDF with answer keys and 30+ unique bingo cards, offer US Letter and A4, and make listing photos from your real pages. Try the free baby shower game sets to see what a complete set looks like.
Who buys baby shower games, and when
The buyer is usually a friend, sister or co-worker hosting the shower — not the parents-to-be. They search a few days to a couple of weeks before the party, print at home or at a copy shop, and want everything to match the shower's theme or colours.
That tells you three things about the listing:
- The theme sells it. "Teddy bear", "sage greenery", "boho rainbow", "woodland" — buyers search by look as much as by game.
- Completeness sells it. A host doesn't want to buy five listings. A set with enough games for a two-hour party, plus answer keys, saves them the work.
- Showers happen every month. Unlike Christmas printables, this is a year-round search.
When we looked at page one of Etsy on 2 November 2026, the search "baby shower games" showed 27 listings with Etsy's Bestseller badge, and 48 of the 67 listings on the page were digital downloads. Prices on page one ran from $0.99 for a single game to around $26 for large bundles, with most under $10. Those are a snapshot of one day's search, not a forecast.

Which games should be in the set?
Hosts expect the familiar ones first, then a few that make the set feel fuller:
| Game | Why buyers expect it | Needs an answer key? |
|---|---|---|
| Baby shower bingo | Played while gifts are opened — keeps every guest involved | Caller sheet |
| Word scramble | Quick, works at a table | Yes |
| Word search | Easy for all ages | Yes |
| Emoji quiz | Guess the baby phrase from pictures | Yes |
| Baby trivia: true or false | Short, gets people talking | Yes |
| Mommy or daddy? | Guests guess who'll do what | No |
| Finish the nursery rhyme | Familiar, fast | Yes |
| Baby predictions / advice cards | A keepsake for the parents | No |
Avoid games named after TV game shows or board games, and any character or brand names in themes and titles. Those names are trademarks; Etsy can remove listings that use them, and that puts your shop at risk.

Bingo: every card must be different
Bingo is the game most sets are judged on. Two guests with the same card means two winners at once, and that complaint ends up in your reviews.
- Use a 5 × 5 card with a FREE centre and a list of at least 30–40 gift words, so cards can differ.
- Include 30, 50 or more cards and a caller sheet for the host.
- Check that no two cards share a winning line, not just that the cards aren't identical.

Answer keys and paper sizes
An answer key for every quiz page is the detail buyers mention most in reviews — the host needs it at the party, not an hour of solving the night before. Make the keys from the same word lists as the games so they always match.
For paper, offer at least US Letter and A4, so buyers in the US, UK, Europe and Australia can all print without scaling. Half-letter or 5 × 7 versions are a nice extra for table cards.
Etsy's rule: the design has to be yours
Etsy's Creativity Standards (last updated 10 June 2025) say digital items must be the seller's own design, and that "a bundle, collection, scan, or PDF of someone else's work" does not qualify. Resale-rights or PLR game packs — the same pages sold to many shops — fall into that group.
So if you're starting out, the safe route is to design your own set: your theme, your choice of games, your title. Etsy decides how its policies apply to any listing, so read the standards yourself before you list.
Make listing photos from your real pages
Buyers can't flip through a PDF before they pay, so the photos do the job of the product:
- Photo 1: the set's cover and a few game pages, with the number of games in large text.
- Photo 2: a close-up of the bingo card.
- Photo 3: answer keys, shown clearly.
- Photo 4: what's included — paper sizes, page count, "instant download".
- Photos 5–8: single games at readable size.

Use your title and tags for the theme and the format: "Teddy Bear Baby Shower Games Bundle, Printable, Bingo, Emoji Quiz, Instant Download". Say clearly in the description that it's a digital file and nothing is shipped.
How long does a set take to make?
By hand, a full set is a lot of layout: fifty-odd pages in one look, every bingo card checked against the others, an answer page for every quiz, then everything again in a second paper size, then the photos. Most first sets take a few days.
ShowerKit is a DT Labs app that does that layout. You choose the theme, the games and the title; it lays out every page, makes every bingo card different, writes the answer keys, adds a brand-name check for your words, and draws eight listing photos from the real pages — then exports one print-ready PDF in seven paper sizes. You can try it on the sales page without signing up.

Frequently asked questions
Can I sell baby shower games on Etsy?
Yes, as digital downloads, as long as the designs are your own. Etsy's Creativity Standards (June 2025) say a bundle or PDF of someone else's work doesn't count as your design, so resale-rights packs aren't a safe choice.
Which baby shower games do buyers look for on Etsy?
Full themed bundles with bingo, word scramble, word search, emoji quiz and trivia are the most common on page one, alongside single bingo sets. Buyers search by theme, so a set where every page matches is what stands out.
How many bingo cards should a baby shower bingo set have?
At least 30, and 50 or more for larger parties, with a caller sheet. Every card should be different, ideally with no two cards sharing a winning line.
What size should printable baby shower games be?
US Letter and A4 cover most buyers. Smaller sizes such as 5 × 7 are a useful extra for table cards and framed games.
Do I need answer keys?
Yes. Hosts score the games at the party and expect an answer page for every quiz. Missing or wrong answer keys are a common complaint in reviews.
Can I use cartoon characters or game show names?
No. Character names and game show or board game names are trademarks. Etsy can remove listings that use them, and repeated removals can affect your shop.
