The angle

A new opportunity, not "a better tool".

The idea

Seek open doors, not empty rooms.

"Low competition" niches are often quiet because nobody buys. NicheSeeker looks for the opposite: niches where new listings are already ranking.

The method

Two questions.

Are new listings ranking? Is there a weak leader? Answered on the Amazon or Etsy page the buyer already has open.

The audience

One marketplace is fine.

KDP low/medium-content publishers and Etsy printable sellers. It works on either marketplace alone.

Honest page

Fewer surprises.

The sales page says what it doesn't do: no exact sales (estimates only), no phones, not in the Chrome Web Store yet.

Please explain clearly

Desktop only, installed from the buyer's account.

NicheSeeker runs in Chrome, Edge or Brave on a computer. It isn't in the Chrome Web Store yet: buyers download a ZIP from their dtlabs.app account and add it with "Load unpacked" (about 2 minutes, with a step-by-step guide). It doesn't work on phones or tablets.

Sales and royalty numbers in NicheSeeker are estimates. Please never present them as income anyone made, or promise that a niche will sell.

Subject: Before you make your next book, ask this

Hi [NAME],

Most of us pick a niche by asking "is it big?" or "is it low-competition?". There's a more useful question: is this niche letting new sellers in right now?

NicheSeeker is a new Chrome extension from DT Labs that answers it on the Amazon or Etsy page you're already looking at. It labels each result, flags listings launched in the last 90 days that are already ranking, and points out "weak leaders" — top results buyers aren't happy with.

It's $11.95 one-time, with a 30-day refund policy. Sales numbers it shows are estimates, and it won't make anything for you — it helps you decide where to start.

Subject: A 3.6-star bestseller is not a wall

Hi [NAME],

When a low-content niche has a bestseller with a 3.6-star rating, most people see a wall. It's closer to an opening: buyers keep buying it because it's what's there, and their reviews tell you what they wish it did better.

NicheSeeker flags those "weak leaders" right on Amazon.com, next to BSR and estimated monthly sales for each book, and gives each niche an Open Door score with plain-English reasons.

$11.95 one-time, 30-day refund policy. Desktop Chrome, Edge or Brave.

Subject: Is this printable niche open to new shops?

Hi [NAME],

If you sell printables on Etsy, here's a quick check before your next listing: are shops with only a handful of reviews showing up in the top results? If they are, buyers in that niche are giving new shops a chance.

NicheSeeker shows that right on the Etsy search page: shop ratings and review counts under each listing, and a "New shop ranking" badge when a small shop is in the top results. It works on Etsy alone — you don't need to sell on Amazon.

Promotion rules

How to promote — and what gets a commission reversed.

Please do

  • Show what the extension does — your own review or screenshots of the panel
  • Say that sales figures are estimates
  • Mention it's desktop-only and installed from the buyer's account
  • Mention the 30-day refund policy
  • If you mention the membership, say it's a recurring subscription people can cancel any time

Don't

  • Income, royalty or sales claims of any kind, or screenshots of earnings
  • Fake scarcity, fake countdowns, or price or deadline claims we haven't announced here
  • Comparisons with, or attacks on, other tools
  • Amazon, KDP or Etsy logos, or wording that suggests we're affiliated with them
  • Spam, cold DMs, purchased lists, or bidding on "NicheSeeker" or "DT Labs" in paid search

We review traffic and may reverse commissions on sales that came from breaking these rules.
